My TED talk is live!
Posted: May 5, 2016 Filed under: Uncategorized 3 CommentsAt long last, my TED talk is live on the TED web site! It was such a surreal experience and I’m so glad to have evidence of it that shows I didn’t just dream the whole thing! The talk was paid for BY MY PATRONS, and if you wanna get in on the amazing community of people who pay me to write stories and get the stories in exchange, go here right now.
On the TED web site, don’t miss the footnotes to the story, where I discuss all of my influences while writing the talk, including science fiction writers Ann Leckie and Kim Stanley Robinson; filmmaker and friend Alex Newton; journalists Katy Butler and Jane Gross; astrophysicist Matt O’Dowd; and the founder of Sirius Radio, Marthine Rothblatt.
The talk was edited and coached by my dear friend Jaybird O’Berski.
The dress was designed by Kambriel, recommended to me by Neil Gaiman.
The hair and makeup were done by the incredible TED team (I told them I wanted “cat eyes and big hair,” and boy, did they deliver).
My manicure and pedicure were done by the delightful beauticians at Willow Stream Spa in Vancouver.
My armpit hair was my own work.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Will listen pronto! Are you friendly with Neil Gaiman, that’s so cool. I love his books.
I just stumbled over your TED talk, not sure why I clicked on it, but I’m glad I did.
Thank you for that great story.
