What it is.

I had a post all ready to go, about how I was accepted to the La Muse Artist Retreat near Carcassonne, France, as their Wildcard Resident, which they award once a year, for work on my new play. The term started in three weeks. Would I come? I said mais oui.

Then, yesterday, I got word that my father will need emergency spinal surgery as soon as they can schedule him. Which will be sometime in the next three weeks.

This might sound like bad fortune. But really, it’s okay. France can wait. There’s nowhere I’d rather be than at my father’s side, as he has always been at mine. And I feel it’s a blessing that the universe is making my path so clear.

But in the meantime, please send your prayers and good thoughts. This is really scary.
