Tomorrow I fly to Vermont to begin my residency at the Vermont Studio Center! I’ll be working on my novel The Girl in the Road. I’m so excited to have just one pot on one burner, instead of ten pots on four burners, which is what it’s felt like all year. The temperature in Johnson, VT is currently 17 degrees…and snow forecast all week. I picture myself on the floor of my studio overlooking the river, sipping coffee, surrounded by my notes. This is going to be good.
